The MEN'S. Ministry at The Gathering
Studies have shown that many men don't want to come to church anymore. It's become too feminine, they can't relate. At Grandview Assembly we believe that God is changing all of that. The Men’s Ministry of The Gathering UMC desires to positively impact the lives of men and ALL they come in contact with by putting their feet to faith through God’s awesome power; demonstrating leadership in their homes, the church and their communities.
Our Vision:To Bring all Men back into the church and the hands of God.
Our Mission: The Men's Ministry at The Gathering is "committed to building godly men to serve Christ in their home, church, career and community."
Our Goals for 2009
1) Promote awareness of the needs in our community --- and awareness of opportunities to volunteer as an individual or as a group: guest speakers/events, special projects.
2) Promote the integration of the Men's Ministry into our church body by encouraging integration of all the groups within our church: Reaching out to offer assistance to all the other ministries.
3) Promote the integration and fellowship of all the men within our church: events of interest that promote fellowship for all ages.
We need your ideas!!!
The more men we have participate, the more fresh ideas we can implement and the more people we have to share in the joy of serving!
We wish to extend an invitation to all men to come to our men's breakfast the first Sunday of every month to enjoy good food and fellowship. In addition to eating we have a guest speaker at every breakfast. Please check the church bulletin for information about meetings and events.
When is the breakfast held? First Sunday of every month
Time: 9:00 am
Where: G-Force Building (Behind the church) You are encouraged to bring your sons with you.
